Damocles.

Damocles.
Even in the good times, I'm thinking of the bad

One of those jewels you pick up at med school but aren't really sure where it came from was this idea that in order to be a good Dr you needed an element of anxiety. We are taught to approach most circumstances considering the worst case scenario and systemically exclude red flags. As they say "ignorance is bliss" and when you are forced into this drill 20+ times a day, ofcourse it spills into your personal life. Add this to a preexisting anxious disposition and you have the makings of a modern day Damocles.

I'm quite good at holidays. I tend to go on short holidays as I'm keen to get back on the grind, but for that short period I (try to) suspend all my overthinking, careful budgeting, cautious approach and happily spend 100 euros on a spiderman ride even though I'd already spend thousands just to get into the park. Once I was in the park I had the light bulb moment of trying to show what it's like to be unhappy while physically being in the happiest place on earth, a feeling I think many of us can relate to (1st world problem I think is an accurate description).

Ofcourse Storm had to show up and DESTROY ME.

Thank you so much to the people who have supported the album, especially the vinyl format which I am immensely proud of, I'm looking forward to developing this second act!
